WHAT I SMELL: Delina La Rosée opens with a bright and luscious combo of lychee and pear. The fruit is ripe and not overly sweet, but incredibly juicy as if it’s dripping all of its harvested goodness while being drenched in sparkling water. Bergamot begins to enter which leads the perfume down the pathway away from the fruit and to the floral. As the florals begin to enter the room, a soft and lightly sweetened peony makes the first impression followed by a dry and somewhat chalky rose. But as this transition takes place, the fruits of the opening begin to pop up as if they’re trying to take center stage again. Here the perfume bounces in a lilting manner between the fruit and flowers. The perfume is lightly sugared, pretty and nicely airy so that the sweetness doesn’t become anything but pleasant. At this point the perfume is just so wonderfully enticing as it dances lightly on the skin. At times the perfume glides into a pink bubblegum aura, but it’s just little puffs of candied goodness that grace the perfume from time to time. In the end, Delina La Rosée settles to a comforting combination of the fruity and floral while sitting on a bed of quiet wood and musk.
From the Parfums de Marly website:
A blend of transparent water flowers and peony recall multiple notes of fresh, velvety, impertinent, and delicate rose. The most regal of these notes, Turkish rose, unfolds in elegance.
Pear, lychee, and bergamot scents add a gourmand touch while a perceptible but subtle base of wood, white musk and vetiver envelops the senses.
A moment of freshness, Delina La Rosée brightens the skin from morning to night with a vibrant radiance and unforgettable scent.

WHAT I SMELL: Vanille Rêve approaches the wearer with a warm deep tobacco laden vanilla that’s not sweet, but which is grounded in a sensuous mix of spices of nutmeg, cinnamon and anise. From the very beginning, Vanille Rêve is very serious and deeply rapturous. As the perfume develops, the mix of spice and vanilla begin to dry, leaving the wearer to feel is if they are on a journeyed path through the markets of Morocco prior to starting off on an adventure heading to the South Seas where its secret wisdom will be unlocked. After some time, the deep and dark begins to slowly lift and the perfume moves toward the more gourmand. Here the perfume radiates the most comforting of baked good delights. You can almost envision the spiced, caramelized and frosted creations emerging from the oven as they entice you as they’re put out on display. Continuing on, Vanille Rêve begins to reveal its quieter side with the addition of creamy white florals. Here the perfume begins to soften and bloom with the tiare flower lilting lightly on top of the vanilla. And this is where the perfume makes its final journey’s end amidst the intoxicating and exotic islands of the South Pacific.
WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE TO ME: An exotic journey to the South Seas.
WHAT I SMELL: Boy opens with a soft, bright, yet warm citrus which bounces upon a layer of lavender warmed in the sun. The perfume is aromatic and rather herbal and from the beginning it provides a blanket of security and comfort without being overly warm or heavy. As the perfume begins to develop, a geranium note comes forward with a light touch along with a freshness of florals accented by rose. Soon after, a sandalwood note adds a hint of a pencil shaving accord. As the perfume continues to develop, the citrus comes back to brighten the mix along with a lightly sweetened vanilla. Finally, the perfume is covered in a layer of oakmoss which dries the fragrance and creates some added projection. Boy is without edges, making it smooth and incredibly easy to wear.
