WHAT I SMELL: Terre d’Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche opens with a very refreshing citrus and juicy grapefruit which sits atop the unmistakenly Terre d’Hermes cedar like wood. But given a couple of minutes, the cool citrus dominates. It’s refreshing, bright and rather happy. Soon enough the cedar makes a return along with the geranium giving it a bit of spice, but the citrus comes in and out rotating its place on the top with the woody components. Finally, Eau Tres Fraiche maintains this hue of wooded lightly bitter citrus that’s not too sweet, not too dry and is overall just an ease to wear.

WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE TO ME: Summer camp. It’s fresh, it’s woody and feels like the morning dew with the sun hitting the surrounding lake and woods.

BOTTOM LINE: Terre d’Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche is a nicely done flanker and is perfect for the summer. Terre d’Hermes is one of my all time favorites and this makes for a nice addition to the line.

This is now available at Nordstrom, I think, and I was just there yesterday and did not get a sample…next time. Terre d’Hermes was my first pre-perfumista Hermes FB (weird, right, for someone who doesn’t like masculine perfumes). At a recent gathering with friends, the host came down from his room and several women oohed and ahhed over how nice he smelled. He nonchalantly said he did not remember the name of it but he got it at an airport. I took one sniff and said Terre d’Hermes and he said “That’s it!” My friends wanted to know how I knew and I just as nonchalantly said I’ve smelled it before from a sample, liked it and made sure to remember the name of it :-). What my friends don’t know won’t hurt them.

LOL…it is one of those fragrances that is one of a kind and easy to identify. A few years back a co-worker went walking by and she is a woman in her late 50s and I turned to her and asked her if she was wearing Terre d’Hermes and she said yes. She was surprised by my ability to identify but it’s very distinctive. I think it’s perfect for woman as well no doubt 🙂

Terre d’Hermes original is one of my most favorite perfume on my vSO so I was looking forward to trying it but I didn’t find it in my local Nordstrom on my last trip. I will definitely get it the next time!

It should be there now. That’s where I received my sample. It’s un-mistakenly Terre d’Hermes, but with a lighter citrus sour that you’re either going to like… or dismiss.

If it’s leaning towards unisex, this could be my outdoor/trekking fragrance…? I’ll have a sniff next time. It’s outdoor season and I do a lot of walking, I’ve been searching for some outdoor activity scents. Some would just say don’t wear anything but the thought of going somewhere, doing something without a nice smelling thing is like a torture…

I agree. I am known for wearing my vintage Miss Dior for mowing the lawn. And when I go for walks after work, I typically have a trail following behind me because when I get home I usually put on my big florals.. LOL. Geez, I paint a ghastly picture of myself!
