WHAT I SMELL: Sweet cherry pipe tobacco, covered in syrup. It’s sweet and slightly gourmand. Quickly, a light leather emerges in the background which evens out the sweetness of the opening. Tabacca continues to mellow and becomes a bit dryer. The tobacco remains coated with a light apple and rose which is pretty and surprisingly muted. After this point, Tabacca stays in this woody, slightly sweet tobacco haze tinged with just a hint of amber. It’s not strong and it’s not weak and I fear that I really like it, but that over time I would probably get tired of it if I wore it too often.

BOTTOM LINE: Tabacca is a tobacco fragrance for those who typically don’t like them. It’s subdued and slightly sweet nature make for a wonderful companion to reading a book by the fire on a cold winter or rainy day. The Costamor website says this is a feminine spin on tobacco. I have to disagree as I see this as a perfect unisex fragrance. Tabacca is an unexpected pleasure!

Glad you mentioned the syrupy quality- Tabacca is too viscous for me, but I appreciate the affordability for a niche line!

I think in the end that Tabacca is a pussycat. Only in the beginning is it a bit of a tiger. For $75 for 50ml, I agree that’s not a bad price when it comes to niche perfume! Thanks for stopping by Ari!

It’s $755 for 50 ml??!?!??? Please tell me that’s a typo, or I’ll faint. As for the perfume, how do you think it compares to Ambre Narguilé, as the notes would imply a bit of an overlap in scent (apple pipe tobacco & smoke)?

Yikes!!! Trust me it’s only $75…once you think you have a post edited and there you go! I have never tried Ambre Narguile, but in looking at Fragrantica, it seems that some other folks made the comparison as well. I would am guessing that this is a little bit cheaper than Hermes??

So far I’ve tried only one of Costamor’s perfumes – Sugarwood – and it scarred me: it was awfully sweet. But your review piqued my interest. 4 bones, you say?

This is lightly sweet…I just wish it would last a bit longer. 4 bones might be pushing it a little…it’s more like 3.75 🙂

MUST.TRY.NOW. I love tobacco perfumes (just below my first true love iris), I’m not afraid of sweet and perfumes usually last long on my scent glue skin.

I love Costamor’s Tabacca! I do find it very sweet, especially at first. That odd apple note is just weird, and off putting. However 20 to 30 minutes in, this becomes a delicious snuggable tobacco. It lasts a long time on me, so I guess it is dependent on skin type. My husband who undersprays everything I give him, can be sniffed from afar wearing this perfume. So far only Kurkdjian’s Absolute Pour Le Soir, and Tauer’s L’air Du Desert, stand out on him. I am mighty glad for a price break with this puppy!

I was a bit worried when the opening started off so sweet, but it really didn’t last that long so it wasn’t a turn off too me. My skin typically wears perfume for a long time, but since this was dabbed from a tester rather than sprayed it’s probably why it didn’t last so long on me. Funny, I wore Absolue Pour le Soir today to work (I wear it when I’m not in the mood to play nice at work :)~ Thanks for stopping by Tora!

Costamor is a line that doesn’t get many notice (at least it seems so to me) but what I’ve tried so far (Dulcess and Tabacca, not much) has been a real pleasure to smell.

I have not sampled the others…but this is prompting me to want to try the 3 others in the line. I like the fact that there are only 4 perfumes in the line it make it much more manageable to try them all 🙂

Thanks steve but down in Oz it’s winter. Although the sun is shining and I’ve been out digging in the garden with only a lightweight hoodie, hardly a cruel winter.
